But George and Ira were no longer on the scene. Enter Ken Ludwig and Mike Ockrent. Inspired by the material of Guy Bolton and John McGowan, they created what is both a great musical and a tribute to the Gershwin style. Crazy for You ran on Broadway for over 1,600 performances. The score for Crazy for You includes many Gershwin classics from shows such as Treasure Girl, A Damsel in Distress, Shall We Dance, Oh Kay, Ladies First and Girl Crazy (which also lends a sketch of the plot.) We have our "A" production team in place for Crazy for You. The combination of Anderson, Clattenburg and Blair was responsible for our outstanding premier at Shannondell, The Music Man. And to add a special spark, Dr. Anderson created an absolutely stunning Crazy for You a few years ago for the drama club at UMAHS. You can be sure many elements of that success will feed into our Shannondell production.
