Colette Anderson (Fiona MacLaren) first appeared on our stage almost ten years ago, as a barmaid in The Drunkard. Some of her favorite roles include Fredrika in A Little Night Music, Violet in Play On!, Romaine in Witness for the Prosecution, and Iris in the original production of Bruce Trinkley¹s Cleo. She was a member of the Penn State Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Opera Workshop, and studied voice with Dr. Susan Boardman.
Marni Berkowitz (Villager) is in the fourth grade at Roberts Elementary School. She began singing and performing as a member of the school chorus while in first grade. Marni plays violin, and is very active as a gymnast.
Patty Klara Bowman (Meg Brockie) is making her third appearance with the Players. Previous roles here include Lizzie in 110 in the Shade and Carrie in Carousel. Other favorite roles include Lucy in The Threepenny Opera, Hope in Anything Goes, and Meg in Damn Yankees. Patty has been a featured vocalist in choral groups and ensembles.
Anita Burgher (Villager) is performing in her first stage musical. She has sung with the Cathedral-Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Collegiate Choir and with the Philadelphia Choral Arts Society. Currently she cantors and sings with the Mother of Divine Providence Choir and with Mixolydian, a small a capella group.
Regina Burgher (Villager) will be a 5th grader at Upper Merion Middle School. She was featured in several musicals, including A House for Hermit Crab, Legend of the Twelve Moons, A Knight to Remember, and Tall Tom Jefferson. Regina plays the flute and enjoys singing with her friends, The Gems.
Joan Detwiler (Angie MacGuffie) is pleased to be back on-stage with the Players; her last show with us was Camelot. Brigadoon was the first show she appeared in when she began community theater, and is one of her favorite musicals. Lauren Dryburgh (Villager) loves music and acting, and has performed in A Day at the Zoo, A Knight to Remember, Tall Tom Sawyer, and The Legend of the Twelve Moons.
Michelle Elbin (Villager, Dancer) has been dancing since she was four years old. She is a dance director with Upper Merion Parks and Recreation, and coaches gymnastics at the Phoenixville YMCA. This is her first show with the Players.
Sarah Fornace (Villager) first performed on-stage with our production of The Crucible. She has also been seen with The Blue Rose Moon Theater Company, the Brick Playhouse, Triangle Theater, and Smoke in Old City. Her favorite shows include The Miracle Worker, Fiddler on the Roof, Cheaper by the Dozen.
Mark French (Archie Beaton, Frank) is making his first appearance on our stage. He has previously appeared as the Sheriff in Finian¹s Rainbow, the Marshall in Oklahoma!, the Constable in Fiddler on the Roof, and Lt. Branigan in Guys and Dolls.
Joanna Hornstein (Villager) is performing with us for the first time. She played Golda in Fiddler on the Roof in a middle school production.
Patrick Keelty (Harry Beaton) is appearing for the first time with the Players. He will be a junior at the University of Pittsburgh this fall.
Lisa Knorr (Jean MacLaren, Vocal Music Director) is making her debut with the Players, but is no stranger to the stage. She has played Helena in A Midsummer Night¹s Dream, Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly, and Charlotte in Charlotte¹s Web. Lisa is a music education major at the University of Delaware.
Jennifer Kobialka (Villager, Dancer) previously appeared on our stage as Mary Warren in The Crucible, the Moorish Dancer in Man of La Mancha, and Louise in Carousel. At college, she is a member of the RIT Singers, Encore (a small women¹s choir), and the RIT Dance Company.
Stephen Kuerschner (Mr. Lundie) previously appeared with us as the Barber in Man of La Mancha, the Stepfather in Into the Woods, Rev. Paris in The Crucible, Marty in June Groom, and Hannibal in Curious Savage. In addition to his work with numerous other theater groups, Steve performs regularly with Philadelphia Fife and Drum (including at this year¹s NBA All-Star Game).
Ariann Langsam (Jane Ashton, Dancer) was recently seen attending The Lion King on Broadway, and in fact has attended many plays, both on- and off-Broadway.Her second cousin, once removed, attended Julliard for a year.
Alec Maksymowych (Villager) is a fourth grader at Roberts Elementary School. He has been taking classes for three years at People¹s Light and Theatre Company, and participated in Summerstage 2002. Last summer, he was in the Upper Merion Consortium production of Take Me to the World. Alec was last seen in A Christmas Carol at People¹s Light.
Paul Mansfield (Jeff Douglas) is making his debut with the King of Prussia Players. His theatrical career began at age 9 when he appeared in Carl Reiner¹s Broadway comedy, Something Different. He has done understudy work for the Walnut Street Theater's productions of Grand Hotel and Buddy. Some of his favorite roles include Marcellus Washburn in The Music Man, Marryin¹ Sam in Li¹l Abner, Luther Billis in South Pacific, Jud Fry, Will Parker, and Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, Zoltan Karpathy in My Fair Lady, and Captain Andy in Showboat.
Mary Leporati Matcovich (Villager) is performing with the Players for the first time. She has performed in Charley¹s Aunt, high school musicals, and the church choir.
Ellis Nance Mays (Villager) was born in Washington, D.C. in 1991. He made his acting debut in Annie Get Your Gun in Heanor, England, in 2000, and most recently appeared as Danny in A is for Aesop.
Anthony T. Millili (Andrew MacLaren) appeared with the Cheltenham Players
in Dear Ruth, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and Harvey. With the University
of Pennsylvania Players he was featured as the lead male dancer, Harry
Beaton, and starred in the title role in The King and I. At Lincoln Center
he was in Euripides¹ The Bacchae. Tony studied acting with Sanford
Meisner and Uta Hagen, and dance with
the Martha Graham School, Matt Mattoxm and Alvin Ailey. He is Professor
Emeritus of Speech, Communication and Theatre Arts at Manhattan Community
College and currently teaches at Valley Forge Military College.
Lissa Morinsky (Maggie Anderson, Dancer) was last seen in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Some of her favorite roles are Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Mistress in Evita, Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly, and Sandy in Grease. She has also performed in Jesus Christ, Superstar, Our Town, The King and I, The Nutcracker, and West Side Story.
AnnMarie Palumbo-Parks (Villager) roles with the Players include Mrs. Curtis in 110 in the Shade and Mrs. Bascombe in Carousel. She sings with the Wayne Oratorio Society and in the choir of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Ed Parks (Sandy Dean) played Toby Curtis in 110 in the Shade and Mr. Bascombe in Carousel for the Players. He sings with the Wayne Oratorio Society and in the choir of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Jenelle Parks (Villager) returns to KOPP after appearing in Carousel and 110 in the Shade. She is involved with theater and choir at Roberts Elementary School. Her favorite role was The Joker in Medieval Nights.
Robert Pellechio (Villager) is 12 years old and attends Visitation BVM School in Trooper, where he is a member of both the Band and the Choir. Robert has appeared in several shows with MCT and Theatre and Kids. This is his first show with King of Prussia Players.
Julianna Quazi (Villager) is eight years old, and attends the Agnes Irwin School. She has had numerous solo dance and vocal performances at venues such as the Wayne Art Center, a teachers¹ conference at the Shipley School, Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, Temple Beth Israel in Voorhees, and Upper Merion Parks & Recreation. Julianna¹s favorite roles include Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio and the eponymous lead in The Pied Piper of Hamelin.
Callie Rosenfeld (Villager) was Apprentice Director for our production of 110 in the Shade last year. She first performed on-stage in Journey to the Past.
Celia Ryan (Villager) is performing in her second show with the Players; she was Belinda in last year¹s 110 in the Shade. Celia will be a fifth grader at Upper Merion Middle School in the fall.
Kristen Schumacher (Villager, Dancer) is a 10th grader at Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, and performed in their Broadway Review. With the Sacred Heart Choir, she has sung at Carnegie Hall and will be singing at the Kimmel Center.
Brian Schwartz (Charlie Dalrymple) recently appeared as Beverly Carlton in The Man Who Came to Dinner with the Dramateurs. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Methacton Community Theater, and has appeared in many of their productions. Brian is the author of the forthcoming NIXON: The Musical.
Laurel Smith (Villager) is happy to be appearing on stage with the Players after turns as Assistant Director in Dangerous Corners and Into the Woods and her directorial debut with 110 in the Shade. She has been active in community theaters around the area both on and off stage in a variety of productions, including Pippin, Finian¹s Rainbow, Sherwood Nights, Funny Girl, The Grand Duke, The King and I, She Loves Me, and The Women. Her favorite part was Dream Laurie in Oklahoma!
Kelly Volpi (Villager) is 11 years old and is going into the 6th grade at Upper Merion Area Middle School. She is a member of the UMAMS Blue Chorus. Kelly was a member of the Roberts Elementary School Chorus for 4 years and a member of the Elementary Band for 1 year playing the clarinet. She appeared in our production of 110 in the Shade, as well as in school productions of Annie Jr. and Phantom of the Music Room. She is currently taking part in the Footlighters Theater Summer Drama Workshop.
Jenna Volpi (Villager) is 8 years old and is going into the 3rd grade at Roberts Elementary School in Upper Merion. She has been a member of the School Chorus for 2 years, and has taken piano lessons for 2 years. Jenna was in our production of 110 in the Shade; with other groups, she has performed in How Does Your Garden Grow, Bunny Ears, A House for Hermit Crab, and Maisy. She ic currently taking part in the Footlighters Theater Summer Drama Workshop.
George Waldie(Tommy Albright) is performing with us for the first time, but he has extensive experience with other groups, including St. Andrews Players, Brandywiners, and the Jenkintown Music Theater. Favorite roles include Abel Frake in State Fair, Curly in Oklahoma!, Henry Spofford in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Pat Denning in 42nd Street. George was the musical director for No, No Nanette! and Oklahoma! with the St. Andrew¹s Players, is the Musical Director for Garnet Valley High School spring musicals, and directs the Garnet Valley Community Chorus.
Gigi Watson (Villager) will be a 5th grader at UMMS in September. She has been in a number of school productions, most recently Legend of the Twelve Moons and Tall Tom Jefferson. She enjoys gymnastics, horseback riding, and singing, and is currently a part of a musical group of four called Gemz.
Rosemary G. Watson (Villager) is pleased to be making her debut with the King of Prussia Players alongside her daughter. Previous stage credits include Louis Lippa's Romeo and Juliet, The Fifth of July, and Bad Habits; appearances at Baltimore's Centerstage and the Philadelphia Drama Guild; and numerous seasons with Villanova Summer Shakespeare. Ms. Watson was nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Award and was a part of an Emmy award winning production of The Learned Ladies.
Kara Wisely (Villager, Dancer) is performing for the first time with the Players. She attends Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, and sang with their choir at Carnegie Hall this year and last year. Kara has been in Max in Hollywood, Baby, 2001 Broadway Musical Odyssey, West Side Story, and Damn Yankees; she will be in Finian¹s Rainbow this fall.
