Cast Profiles for the King of Prussia Players
Carousel 2000 production:
PATTY KLARA BOWMAN (Carrie Pipperidge) is making her first appearance
with the Players. Previous roles include Lucy (The Threepenny Opera),
Hope (Anything Goes) and Meg (Damn Yankees). Patty has been a featured
vocalist
in choral groups and Top 40 bands.
LINDA TRIPOLITIS (Julie Jordan) has been seen as The Baker's Wife (Into
The Woods), Guenevere (Camelot) and Charlotte (A Little Night Music) with
the Players. Linda is a twenty-year veteran of both opera and musical
theater
and performs with many other groups in the Delaware Valley. She
would like to thank Larry, Diana, Kevin, Patty, and the entire cast and
crew for a wonderful ride.
KAREN WILHELM (Mrs. Mullin) is joining the Players for
the first time. Her favorite past roles include Annie (Annie Get
Your Gun), Sister Robert Anne (Nunsense) and Catherine (Pippin).
Karen also sings with local acts and with "anyone who will let me sit in"
and is having a fun time with this group.
KEVIN J. GALLAGHER (Billy Bigelow) is happy to be joining the
Players for the first time. He has had a number of leading roles
including Harold Hill (Music Man), Frank Butler (Annie Get Your Gun) and
Judd Frye (Oklahoma). He
has also appeared in "An Evening With Richard Rodgers" with numerous
groups.
Mj EVENSON (Timony) is making his stage performance debut with
the Players. Growing up in Zimbabwe, Larry thought Mj's accent would work
well on a character who was an Irish cop!
ED PARKS (David Bascombe) sings with the Wayne Oratorio Chorus and
the Choir of Our Lady of the Assumption church. He and his wife Ann
Marie have performed duets for weddings. This is his first appearance
with the
Players.
JULIE LEAVITT (Nettie Fowler) is performing in her third consecutive
season musical with the Players. She played Cinderella's Stepmother
(Into The Woods) and the Housekeeper (Man of La Mancha). Other favorite
roles include
Little Buttercup (H.M.S. Pinafore), Agnes Gooch (Mame) and Marie (The
Most Happy Fella).
ALICIA RACHEL BECKER (June Girl, Featured Dancer, Snow Child) has performed
in numerous video, children's and main stage productions. Some of
her favorite roles are Shprintze (Fiddler on the Roof), Amaryllis (The
Music
Man), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) and Alice (Alice In Wonderland).
Alicia would like to thank Larry, her family and her friends.
JIM MASON (Starkeeper, Dr. Seldon) holds a Master's Degree in theater
from Villanova. His leading roles include Stephen Dedulus (Stephen
D: A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man), Hjalmar (The Wild Duck), and
Morell
(Candida). He also appeared as Teddy Roosevelt in the one-man
play Bully. With the Players, Jim was last seen as Saunders (Lend
Me A Tenor).
JENNY KOBIALKA (Louise, Featured Dancer) has appeared twice before
with the Players in Man of La Mancha and as Mary Warren in The Crucible.
She has also performed with the UMHS Drama Club and The Consortium for
the Arts. Favorite roles include Brooke/Vicki in Noises Off and a
Follies Girl in Crazy for You.
COLIN BONNINGTON (Carnival Boy, Featured Dancer) is performing for
the first time on stage. When not pursuing his new endeavor, he participates
in
wrestling and fencing as well as track and cycling.
JUSTINE PARKS (Featured Dancer) is excited about performing in her
first musical with the Players. She has played Marianne (The Miser)
and is involved with other local companies.
AMANDA BULLOCK (Snow Child, Singing/Dancing Chorus) has performed in
school plays. This is her first production with the Players.
When not on stage, she enjoys playing the violin and piano.
ALEENA BURKE (Snow Child, Singing/Dancing Chorus) loves being a new
member of the Players. Aleena enjoys acting, singing and ballet.
She is also an accomplished violinist.
KATIE BURKE (Snow Child, Singing/Dancing Chorus) is pleased to join
her first show with the Players. She has appeared in Clowns and as
one of the orphans in Annie. She is a vocalist, violinist and flute
player in her
family's ensemble.
JAY DRYBURGH (Snow Child, Singing/Dancing Chorus) is appearing with
the Players for the first time. Other roles include Nathan Detroit
(Guys and Dolls) and a most illustrious appearance as the Beggar (Fiddler
on the
Roof).
JENELLE PARKS (Snow Child, Singing Chorus) is very excited about her
first show with the Players. She loves to sing and dance, and in
her spare time trains in TaeKwanDo.
MARK SHATZMAN (Snow Child, Singing/Dance Chorus) is performing for
the first time with the Players. He has been active in the summer
at The Consortium for the Arts and has been seen in Fiddler on the Roof
and The Boyfriend.
STEPHEN HUNTER (Enoch Snow) has considerable experience in the theater.
His recent credits include Billy (Play On), Jesus (Godspell), Riff (West
Side Story) and Charlie Brown (Snoopy). He is also an experienced
pianist and
director.
JIM LUDOVICI (Jigger Craigin) is making his 6th appearance with
the Players. He has appeared as the Narrator/Mysterious Man (Into
The Woods) and in The Trip To Bountiful. With other companies he
has appeared as
Hortensio (Taming of the Shrew) and as Protean (A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way To The Forum). He would like to thank Larry, his voice
teacher and his children for their patience.
SARA EVENSON (Hannah, Snow Child, Featured Dancer) is performing with
the Players for the first time. Sara has been seen as Sarah (Guys
and Dolls) and Nancy (The Boyfriend). She is looking forward to performing
in Carousel.
BRETT ANDERSON (Boatswain, Featured Dancer) is a veteran of the
stage. He has been seen on stage as Tom (Camelot), Benny South Street
(Guys and Dolls), and Winthrop (Music Man). He is also a veteran
dancer and has
performed with Walt Disney Productions.
LOUIS CIANNI (Boatswain, Featured Dancer) is performing for the first
time with the Players. He is an experienced dancer, having performed
at many local events and competitions, including appearances with Walt
Disney productions.
DANA COURTINE (Arminy) is not new to the Players. You may have
seen her in Dangerous Corner, The Murder Room and most recently, The Crucible.
Dana would like to thank her family and friends for their support. She
also
requests that they refrain from laughing at her singing and dancing!
PABLO ROJAS (Enoch Jr., Policeman, Snow Child) is an avid participant
in theater, acting in both high school and community productions.
Pablo will be attending Boston U.'s School of the Arts for acting, an honor
given to
only 40 out of more than 1,000 applicants. This is Pablo's second
show with the Players.
DON BOWMAN (Captain) is joining the Players for the first time.
This is also his stage debut. He has enjoyed being a tech and putting
the set together.
CHARLES HELMETAG (Heavenly Friend) has appeared in Bits of Broadway,
Sentimental Journey and Bits of Broadway II. He has also appeared
as Babcock (Mame), Crookfinger Jake (The Threepenny Opera) and the blind
Teiresias (Oedipus rex). Charles teaches at Villanova University.
STEVE WANCZYK (Snow Child, Singing/Dance Chorus) is making his
debut with the Players. He's performed with other groups doing Fame,
Fiddler on the Roof and The Boyfriend. He's also been seen as Nicely
Johnson in Guys &
Dolls.
CAROL ANDERSON (Singing/Dancing Chorus) was last seen as Snow White
(Into The Woods). She has also appeared in City of Angels, How To
Succeed, Anything Goes, and The King and I.
COLLETTE ANDERSON (Singing/Dancing Chorus) has extensive stage background
and has been seen as Nimue (Camelot), Sister Leo (Nunsense II), and Fredrika
(A Little Night Music) with the Players. Other roles include Polly
(Crazy For You), Laurie (Oklahoma), Irene (Hello Dolly) and Hope (Anything
Goes). She would like to give a special thanks to Joe, her choreography
mentor.
ANNINA BAKER (Snow Child, Chorus) is making her 2nd appearance on stage,
having just made her debut in The King and I. She is 5 years old
and is happy to be on-stage with her mommy again!
ANNA MARIE CHILDRESS (Singing Chorus) decided to see what it's like
on the front lines after working backstage as stage manager and/or stage
crew. Thanks to Barry, Erin and Brooke for showing me how much fun
theater is.
MARIE CILIO (Singing Chorus) is a member of the Norristown Chorale
and has sung with church choirs for a number of years. It is her
first appearance with the Players.
ANNMARIE PARKS (Singing/Dancing Chorus) is a member of the Our Lady
of the Assumption Choir. She has appeared in Evening With Friends.
She and her husband Ed have built a repertoire of duets for weddings.
This is her first
musical with the Players.
