Frank
Barreca
(Freddy) has played lead roles in several
locally produced comedies and dramatic skits over the past year. Frank
has just finished a supporting role in our production of Rosencrantz
& Guildenstern Are Dead.
He has co-hosted and co-produced two cable television shows, (including
the award winning TV show Computer Digest on Tempo Television Network).
He was also a member of Toastmasters, and
Professional Guest Speaker on
a National Circuit. |
Lindsey
Burkland
(Germaine) has been a student and admirer of the arts for years. Her
training consists of Diane Matthews School of Dance, Goucher College,
MKM Productions, the Walnut Street Theatre, and private lessons. Some
of the stage productions she has been a part of include: Once
on this Island, Joseph..., Annie, Fiddler on
the Roof, West Side Story,
and Godspell.
She has been fortunate to receive multiple awards for dance and acting
in both West Chester and New York City. Thanks beyond words go out to
her family and friends for all their love, strength, and support. |
John
Corr
(A Visitor) fell to Earth
in July of 2004, presumably from outer space. He was given English
lessons by Miss Carolyn Dascher, and is pleased to be playing one of
history’s most famous aliens. |
Bob
DeMarco
(Pablo Picasso) is
thrilled to be making his second appearance here with the King of
Prussia Players in this wonderful title role. The first time was six
years ago in The Murder Room.
Since then, he’s been in nearly 50 productions around the
area and has directed twice. Some favorites include: Evan Wyler in As
Bees in Honey Drown, Charley in Flowers
for Algernon, Robert in Don’t
Dress for Dinner, and The
Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Thanks to Glen for the opportunity and to this talented and fun cast
and crew for a great experience! |
Steve
Kuerschner
(Gaston) is pleased
to appear again with the King of Prussia Players. Previously, he was
seen in Dancing at Lughnasa
(Jack), Brigadoon
(Mr. Lundie), Man of La Mancha
(barber), The Crucible
(Rev. Paris), June Groom
(Marty), and Curious Savage (Hannibal).
Steve would like to thank his wife, Julie, for her love and support,
and dedicates this performance to her and daughters Elizabeth, Lauren
and Katie. |
Robin
J. Neill
(An Admirer) is happy
to be making her third appearance with the King of Prussia Players.
Most recently, she played Gertrude in Rosencrantz
& Guildenstern Are Dead
(which she also assistant directed and stage managed), and was the
stage manager both on- and off-stage for last season’s
production of Kiss Me, Kate.
She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Dickinson College, and while
she’s been involved in a number of memorable (and
not-so-memorable) shows over the years, what she’d really
like to do is direct. |
Glen
Eric Reed
(Director) has been
involved with theatre since he was ten years old, with a short break of
about fifteen years. It's clear he's trying to make up for lost time,
as he's usually involved in several shows at once. This obsession has
finally brought him to the Players, where he's making his
debut directing this fine cast. His next set project is directing Dracula
for Dramateurs at the Barn in September... but we're sure he'll find
another show in the interim. |
Ryan
"Rudy" Rosenbaum
(Charles
Dabernow Schmendiman) is honored to be making his King of Prussia
Players debut. He is a huge fan and supporter of the arts. His favorite
role was Mike Depki in Penn State’s production of Do
Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?
He has studied stand-up comedy under the direction of Joey Callahan.
He’d like to thank Glen for this role, and would also like to
thank his supportive family: Mom, Dad, Adam, Dara, Cari, Chad &
Jordi. |
Steve
Schulz
(Albert Einstein) has
been haunting the stages of area community theaters for half of
Glen’s life. Why refer to Glen’s life? Because 17/38
is a really awkward fraction. In that time, he has played P.T. Barnum,
John Proctor, Nathan Detroit, and the Mysterious Man. It’s
been a busy couple of months, buying a new home and marrying the
beautiful and talented Renée. This show will be dedicated to
the memories of Petruchio, Kate and Bianca, if they don’t
stop chewing Renée’s toes in the morning. |
Ellen
Spampinato
(The Countess) is
pleased to make her King of Prussia Players debut, in which she plays
Steve
Schulz’s romantic counterpart for the second time in a row
(the first was as Jenny Lind in Forge’s Barnum).
Other favorite roles include Capulet in Ring
Round the Moon (Swarthmore),
Solanio in The Merchant of
Venice at the Barn, and Prossy
in Barleysheaf’s Candida.
Her next role will be Patsy in the Stagecrafters’ production
of Side Man.
Ellen lives in Phoenixville with two cats, several guinea pigs and a
couple of trespassing squirrels. |
Candace
Upton
(Sagot) graduated in May
2004 from Earlham College with honors in her Theatre major.
She’s acted in plays for as long as she can remember and has
done everything else: front of house, back of house, box office
manager, producer, director, costume design, lights, sound, make-up and
set. This is her first post-college play, and Picasso
was her first audition after moving to Exton with her husband and two
cats. She thanks her whole family for their love and support. Cheese! |
Rachel
Voigtland
(Suzanne) is very
excited to be making her theatre debut with the King of Prussia
Players. She works as a sales engineer during the day, and has found
acting to be her newest favorite hobby. She would like to thank Glen
and the entire cast for their support and guidance over the past few
months. |
